EUROPEAN UNION CANDIDATES

 

PREPARATORY YEAR

Since in “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati the instruction language is Romanian, foreign citizens from European  will be registered for undergraduate and graduate studies only after graduating the Romanian language preparatory year on the basis of a certificate proving Romanian  linguistic competences; during the preparatory year the candidates will learn the necessary Romanian language vocabulary as well as the specific vocabulary needed for the future studies (anatomy, physics, chemistry, etc.).

Students attending the Romanian preparatory course are required to pay the annual  fee of  1980 Eur.

IMPORTANT!  To be able to attend the preparatory year, a candidate from EU member state should have first his/her high school diploma evaluated by the Romanian Ministry of Education.

  4. Copy of the baccalaureate diploma and related high school grades transcripts, if they are in Romanian/English/French/Spanish/Italiano
    or
    Certified copy of the baccalaureate diploma and related high school grades transcripts, if they are in any other foreign language. These documents must be endorsed by the Hague Apostil.

  6. health certificate in an international language attesting that the applicant does not suffer from contagious/chronic diseases
  7. invoice ofthe file processing fee 50 lei.

The certificate of recognition of studies will be issued by the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) (See also  www.cnred.edu.ro); CNRED releases (within 30 days)  a Certificate attesting that high school diploma obtained abroad is OK and entitles the candidate to attend higher education studies in Romania.

 

Admission requirements

Citizens of the European Union, European Economic Area (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) and Switzerland who apply for admission to the Romanian education system must meet the same conditions as Romanian citizens and have the same tuition fees as Romanian students (about  500 -1000 Eur/year).
