Admission criteria for the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy by means of the evaluation of school performance and personal accomplishments for citizens of the states which are member within the European Union, the European Economic Space and Swiss Confereration

 

  1. The citizens of the states which are member within the European Union, within the European Economic Space and Swiss Confederation may apply to the admission contest by means of the evaluation of school performance and personal accomplishments, after the recognition of studies carried out in the country of origin.
  2. The candidates admitted by means of the evaluation of school performance may apply for seats with the payment of the tuition fee, at their own expense during the entire schooling period.

The evaluation of the candidates’ file is made by a committee, organized at the level of the faculty, which will analyze the documents.

After the admission criteria are met, the files considered eligible are sent to the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas. After the evaluation of the file within CNRED, a certificate which confers the right of following academic studies in Romania is granted to the candidate.

 

Admission requirements:

  1. Proof of knowledge in the Romanian language (Romanian language certificate / diploma); 

Admission criteria

The final admission average is 100% the Baccalaureate/High School Diploma average.

In case two candidates have the same Baccalaureate/High School Diploma average, the admission process will be done as follows:

  1. The minimum score of the Baccalaureate exam/High School Diploma exam must be at least 70% of the maximum theoretical score of the examination, from the country where the studies were graduated.
  2. Graduation of an accredited High School from the country of origin which must contain within the curriculum, the subjects Biology and/or Chemistry;

The list of the High School Diplomas which are recognized by the Romanian Ministry of Education can be checked in the following file.

  • For the study programmes Medicine, Dental Medicine, Nursing, Midwives and Dental technique:
    • it will be taken into consideration the arithmetic average of the grades for the subjects Biology or Chemistry;
    • in case the curriculum contains both Biology and Chemistry, it will be firstly taken into consideration the arithmetic average of the grades for the subject Biology, after that, the arithmetic average of the grades for the subject Chemistry;
  • For the study programme Pharmacy:
    • it will be taken into consideration the arithmetic average of the grades for the subjects Chemistry and Biology;
    • in case the curriculum contains both Chemistry and Biology, it will be firstly taken into consideration the arithmetic average of the grades for the subject Chemistry, after that, the arithmetic average of the grades for the subject Biology;

The equivalence of the grades will be done according to the equivalency system of the Ministry of Education which can be checked to the following link.

Candidates can submit their files both to the central headquarter of the University, Direcția Generală Secretariat, room U90, according to the admission calendar, and online – to the address Această adresă de email este protejată contra spambots. Required documents:

I. Candidates that submit their files to the central headquarter of the University, Direcția Generală Secretariat, room U90 will submit a file containing:

  1. Application form, the candidate's commitment, as well as the consent statement regarding the processing of personal data, (it will be completed when the file is submitted);
  2. Baccalaureate diploma / High School Diplomaor equivalent – 2 copies according to the original and 2 certified translations;
    • Original diplomas from Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus will have the Hague Apostille.
    • Original diplomas issued in states that are not part of the Hague Convention Apostille will be authenticated by:
      1. the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the issuing country, the Embassy/ the Consular Office of Romania in the issuing country and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania or by:
      2. the Ministry of National Education from the issuing country, the Embassy/ the Consular Office of the issuing country in Romania and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania.     • The certificate of passing the Baccalaureate from Italy; Pruebas de Aptitud para el Acceso a la Universidad, calificación Apto from Spain; the certificate for the national exams for general high school (Panellinies Exetaseis) from Greece will be authenticated by the Hague Convention Apostille.
  3. Transcript of records for all the High School years (grades 9-12/13) and for the Baccalaureate examination/High School Diploma examination or equivalent - 2 copies according to the original and 2 certified translations for each original document;
  4. Graduation diploma of the preparatory year or Romanian language certificate/diploma – copy according to the original;
  5. The certificate of recognition of high school studiesissued by CNRED or the application for recognition of high school studies in order to be accepted for academic studies(as the case may be);
  6. Passport, valid for at least 6 months from the moment of submitting the documents – 2 copies according to the original including the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th pages or other documents attesting the quality of citizen of EU, EES and SC;
  7. Birth certificate – 2 copies according to the original;
  8. Receipt of payment for the evaluation of the file – 50 EUR – copy according to the original – non refundable;
  9. Document describing the grading system applied in the educational institutions followed(the grade equivalent between failed and excellent).
  10. 4 (four) photos - passport size;
  11. Medical certificate stating the current health status of the owner and personal history related to chronic diseases;

All the copies necessary for the admission registration file are certified “according to the original” by the person appointed by the admission committee.

  1. Application form, the candidate's commitment, as well as the consent statement regarding the processing of personal data;
  2. Baccalaureate diploma / High School Diplomaor equivalent – and certified translations;
    • Original diplomas from Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus will have the Hague Apostille.
    • Original diplomas issued in states that are not part of the Hague Convention Apostille will be authenticated by:

  2. Graduation diploma of the preparatory year or Romanian language certificate/diploma;
  3. The certificate of recognition of high school studies issued by CNRED or the application for recognition of high school studies in order to be accepted for academic studies (as the case may be) (Annex 1);
  4. Passport, valid for at least 6 months from the moment of submitting the documents including the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th pages or other documents attesting the quality of citizen of EU, EES and SC;
  5. Birth certificate – and certified translation;
  6. Receipt of payment for the file evaluation – 50 EUR – non refundable;
  7. Document describing the grading system applied in the educational institutions followed (the grade equivalent between failed and excellent);
  8. Photo - passport size;
  9. Medical certificate stating the current health status of the owner and personal history related to chronic diseases;
  10. Affidavit regarding the authenticity and the correspondence of the scanned/digital documents and the original ones.

 

REGISTRATION PERIOD:

  • 11-22 July 2022 (22 July, until 2 p.m.) - registration at the University headquarter (room U90), as well as online;
