Admission criteria for the study programme Medicine (in English) for citizens of the states which are member within the European Union, the European Economic Space and Swiss Confereration

 

The admission to the study programme Medicine (in English) is based on the evaluation of the file.  The evaluation of the candidates’ file is made by a committee, organized at the level of the faculty, which will analyze the documents.

Candidates can submit their files both to the central headquarter of the University, Direcția Generală Secretariat, room U90, according to the admission calendar, and online – to the address Această adresă de email este protejată contra spambots. Admission requirements:

  1. Proof of knowledge in the English language (candidates will present an international language certificate of minimum B1 level or a language certificate obtained from the Center of Modern Languages within UDJG, not older than 2 years; Exemption from the presentation of the language certificate are those citizens who graduated the High School within an institution which has the instruction language English or who obtained the minimum score of B1 during the baccalaureate examination; 

Admission criteria:

The final admission average is 100% the Baccalaureate/High School Diploma average.

  • The minimum score of the Baccalaureate exam/High School Diploma exam must be at least 70% of the maximum theoretical score of the examination, from the country where the studies were graduated.
  • Graduation of an accredited High School from the country of origin which must contain within the curriculum, the subjects Biology and/or Chemistry;
  • It will be taken into consideration the arithmetic average of the grades obtained at Biology or Chemistry;
  • In case the curriculum contains both Biology and Chemistry, it will be firstly taken into consideration the arithmetic average of the grades for the subject Biology, after that, the arithmetic average of the grades for the subject Chemistry.

 

Admission for citizens of the states which are member within the European Union, within the European Economic Space and Swiss Confereration

Citizens of the states which are member within the European Union, within the European Economic Space and Swiss Confereration can be admitted to the study programme Medicine (in English) after the recognition of studies carried out in the country of origin.

The list of the High School Diplomas which are recognized by the Romanian Ministry of Education can be checked in the following file.

The equivalence of the grades will be done according to the equivalency system of the Ministry of Education which can be checked to the following link.

After the selection criteria are met, the files considered eligible are sent to the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas. After the evaluation of the file within CNRED, a certificate which confers the right of following academic studies in Romania is granted to the candidate.

I. Candidates who choose to register at the special center will submit the file with the following documents:

  1. Application form, the candidate's commitment, as well as the consent statement regarding the processing of personal data, (it will be completed when the file is submitted);
  2. Baccalaureate diploma / High School Diplomaor equivalent – 2 copies according to the original and 2 certified translations;
    • Original diplomas from Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus will have the Hague Apostille.
    • Original diplomas issued in states that are not part of the Hague Convention Apostille will be authenticated by:
      1. the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the issuing country, the Embassy/ the Consular Office of Romania in the issuing country and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania or by:
      2. the Ministry of National Education from the issuing country, the Embassy/ the Consular Office of the issuing country in Romania and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania.       3. The certificate of passing the Baccalaureate from Italy; Pruebas de Aptitud para el Acceso a la Universidad, calificación Apto from Spain; the certificate for the national exams for general high school (Panellinies Exetaseis) from Greece; the certificate issued by Verket för högskoleservice regarding the access to university studies from Sweden; Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or ACT from U.S.A., etc.
        1. copy if the study document is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian;
        2. copy and translation (in original) in Romanian for documents issued in other foreign languages.
  1. Transcript of records for all the High School years (grades 9-12/13) and for the Baccalaureate examination/High School Diploma examination or equivalent - 2 copies according to the original and 2 certified translations for each original document;
  2. International language certificate (English) of minimum B1 level or a language certificate obtained from the Center of Modern Languages within UDJG, not older than 2 years – copy according to the original;
  3. The certificate of recognition of high school studies issued by CNRED or the application for recognition of high school studies in order to be accepted for academic studies (as the case may be) (Annex 1);
  4. Passport, valid for at least 6 months from the moment of submitting the documents – 2 copies according to the original including the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th pages or other documents attesting the quality of citizen of EU, EES and SC;
  5. Birth certificate – 2 copies according to the original;
  6. Receipt of payment for the file evaluation – 250 EUR – copy according to the original – non refundable;
  7. Document describing the grading system applied in the educational institutions followed (the grade equivalent between failed and excellent).
  8. 4 (four) photos - passport size;
  9. Medical certificate stating the current health status of the owner and personal history related to chronic diseases;

All the copies necessary for the admission registration file are certified “according to the original” by the person appointed by the admission committee.

  1. Application form, the candidate's commitment, as well as the consent statement regarding the processing of personal data;
  2. Baccalaureate diploma / High School Diplomaor equivalent – and certified translations;
    • Original diplomas from Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus will have the Hague Apostille.

  5. Birth certificate;
  6. Receipt of payment for the file evaluation – 250 EUR – non refundable;
  7. Document describing the grading system applied in the educational institutions followed (the grade equivalent between failed and excellent);
  8. Photo - passport size;
  9. Medical certificate stating the current health status of the owner and personal history related to chronic diseases;
  10. Affidavit regarding the authenticity and the correspondence of the scanned/digital documents and the original ones.

 

REGISTRATION PERIOD:

  • 11-22 July 2022 (22 July, until 2 p.m.) - registration at the University headquarter (room U90), as well as online;
