Admission criteria for the study programme Medicine (in English) for citizens of the non-EU states

 

The admission to the study programme Medicine (in English) is based on the evaluation of the file.  The evaluation of the candidates’ file is made by a committee, organized at the level of the faculty, which will analyze the documents.

Candidates can submit their files both to the central headquarter of the University, Direcția Generală Secretariat, room U90, according to the admission calendar, and online – to the address Această adresă de email este protejată contra spambots. Admission requirements:

  1. Proof of knowledge in the English language (candidates will present an international language certificate of minimum B1 level or a language certificate obtained from the Center of Modern Languages within UDJG, not older than 2 years; Exemption from the presentation of the language certificate are those citizens who graduated the High School within an institution which has the instruction language English or who obtained the minimum score of B1 during the baccalaureate examination; 

Admission criteria:

The final admission average is 100% the Baccalaureate/High School Diploma average.

  • The minimum score of the Baccalaureate exam/High School Diploma exam must be at least 70% of the maximum theoretical score of the examination, from the country where the studies were graduated.
  • Graduation of an accredited High School from the country of origin which must contain within the curriculum, the subjects Biology and/or Chemistry;
  • It will be taken into consideration the arithmetic average of the grades obtained at Biology or Chemistry;
  • In case the curriculum contains both Biology and Chemistry, it will be firstly taken into consideration the arithmetic average of the grades for the subject Biology, after that, the arithmetic average of the grades for the subject Chemistry.

 

Admission for Non-Eu citizens

Foreign citizens are people who have the citizenship of a third country of the European Union proven by holding an available passport.

Candidates can submit their files both to the central headquarter of the University, Direcția Generală Secretariat, room U90, according to the admission calendar, and online – to the address Această adresă de email este protejată contra spambots. Candidates who wish to apply for the study programme Medicine (in English) must comply with the criteria stated in OMEN no. 3473/2017, OMEC no. 4151/2020, with subsequent amendments and completions.

  1. Graduation of an accredited High School from the country of origin and recognized by the Ministry of Education (Annex 1 from OMEC no. 4151/2020.) The list of the High School Diplomas which are recognized by the Romanian Ministry of Education can be checked in the following file.
  2. The Baccalaureate diploma/High School diploma will be authenticated, as the case may be or will be accompanied by the certificate of authenticity issued by the competent authorities of the country of origin. The authentication will be applied by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the issuing country and by the Embassy/ the Consular Office of Romania in the issuing country or by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the issuing country and by the Embassy/ the Consular Office of the issuing country in Romania and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania. For countries where there are Romanian diplomatic missions or which do not have diplomatic missions in Romania, the study documents will bear the visa of the Ministry of Education and of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country;

After the admission criteria are met, the files considered eligible are sent to the Ministry of Education (ME) – Directorate – General for International Relations and European Affairs (DGRIAE) for evaluation. After the evaluation of the files, ME issues the Letter of Acceptance and it sends them to the higher education institutions and to diplomatic institutions, both in physical format and online.

 

I. Candidates who choose to register at the central headquarter will submit a file which will contain the following documents:

  1. Application form, the candidate's commitment, as well as the consent statement regarding the processing of personal data, (it will be completed when the file is submitted);
  2. Baccalaureate diploma / High School Diplomaor equivalent – copy according to the original and certified translation of the original document, authenticated by the authorities from the issuing country;
    Original diplomas issued in states that are NOT part of the Hague Convention Apostille will be authenticated by:
    • the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the issuing country, the Embassy/ the Consular Office of Romania in the issuing country and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania or by;
    • the Ministry of National Education from the issuing country, the Embassy/ the Consular Office of the issuing country in Romania and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania.
    • exemption from authentication is allowed under the law of an international treaty to which Romania is part of or based on reciprocity.
    • The list of the High School Diplomas which are recognized by the Romanian Ministry of Education can be checked in the following file.
  1. Transcript of records – copy according to the original and certified translation of the original document;
  2. International language certificate (English) of minimum B1 level or a language certificate obtained from the Center of Modern Languages within UDJG, not older than 2 years – copy according to the original;
  3. Application form for the Letter of Acceptance – 2 copies;
  4. Passport – copy;
  5. Birth certificate – copy and certified translation;
  6. Document confirming the residence – copy;
  7. Receipt of payment the file evaluation fee – 250 EUR – non-refundable;
  8. Document describing the grading system applied in the educational institutions followed(the grade equivalent between failed and excellent).
  9. 4 (four) photos - passport size;
  10. Medical certificate stating the current health status of the owner and personal history related to chronic diseases;

All the copies necessary for the admission registration file are certified “according to the original” by the person appointed by the admission committee.

  1. Application form, the candidate's commitment, as well as the consent statement regarding the processing of personal data;
  2. Baccalaureate diploma / High School Diplomaor equivalent – and certified translation of the original document, authenticated by the authorities from the issuing country;
    Original diplomas issued in states that are NOT part of the Hague Convention Apostille will be authenticated by:
    • the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the issuing country, the Embassy/ the Consular Office of Romania in the issuing country and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania or by;

  11. Affidavit regarding the authenticity and the correspondence of the scanned/digital documents and the original ones.

 

REGISTRATION PERIOD:

  • 11-22 July 2022 (22 July, until 2 p.m.) - registration at the University headquarter (room U90), as well as online;
