Candidates eligible to apply for admission to „Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati

 

Citizens of the Member States of the European Union, of the countries belonging to the European Economic Area and of the Swiss Confederation, as well as citizens of third countries-EU (NON-EU) may apply to study at UDJG.

By exception, Romanian citizens may apply for seats with payment of the fee in a foreign currency (euro) only for the study programme  Medicine in English.

The minimum conditions for registration are the graduation of a high school, accredited in the country of origin and recognized by the Romanian Ministry of Education and proof of language competences for the desired programme.

There are no differences, privileges or discrimination between categories of students in terms of the educational process.

 

1. EU, EEA and SC citizens

EU, EEA and SC citizens,  as well as British citizens and members of their families may participate in the admission process to all academic cycles under the same conditions provided by law for Romanian citizens, including tuition fees and tuition fees paid in euro, after the recognition of studies completed in their countries.

The recognition of studies is done by the National Centre for the Recognition and Equivalence of Studies. Failure to have the secondary school studies recognised by the CNRED will result in the loss of your student status.

 

2. NON-EU citizens

NON-EU citizens are persons who have the nationality of a third country of the European Union proven by the possession of a valid passport and who wish to study with payment of the fee in foreign currency (euro).

For admission to all academic cycles taught in Romanian, NON-EU citizens are required to provide proof of language competence in the Romanian language, according to the methodologies for their schooling in Romania.

The equivalence of high school studies for NON-EU citizens is carried out by the Directorate General for International Relations and European Affairs of the Romanian Ministry of Education. Failure to have the secondary school studies recognised by the DGRIAE will result in the loss of your student status.
