Language of instruction
Within "Dunărea de Jos" University of Galati, teaching activities are mainly carried out in Romanian, with the exception of the following fields and study programmes:

Within the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, study programme: Medicine - in English, the clinical internships, seminars and practical work will be carried out in Romanian starting from the 4th year, given the need to communicate with patients.
How are the language competences attested/certified?
For the study programmes taught in Romanian, the language competences can be attested by presenting the diploma of completion of the preparatory year of learning Romanian or a certificate of linguistic competence of minimum level B1 issued by an accredited institution in Romania (universities, cultural institutes, language centres, other accredited bodies).
For the study programmes taught in English, the language competences may be attested by presenting a language certificate of minimum B1 level or a language certificate obtained from the Modern Languages Centre of UDJG, not older than 2 years; citizens who have graduated from secondary school in an educational establishment where the language of instruction is English or who have obtained at least B1 in the baccalaureate examination are exempt from presenting the language certificate).
