How to apply?

Before applying online on the admission platform, we recommend candidates to read the Candidate's Guidelines in order to see the steps that need to be followed in order to apply to the admission contest.

1. Submitting the file

Candidates who choose to follow a study programme within “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galați can either register at the University headquarter, room U90 or they can apply online, by accessing the platform www.admitere.ugal.ro

In order to access the platform, candidates will have to click the registration button Înscriere online (online registration).

Candidates will be asked to create an account. By means of this account, they can check the status of their files, as well as any observation regarding the file, coming from the admission commission.

On the top left side of the page, candidates will have to click the button Dosar nou (new file) in order to fill in the information and submit the documents.

Note!

Candidates can create one file for one faculty, and they will have to pay the application fee. If a candidate wishes to apply for two or three faculties, they will have to create a new file for each faculty they want to go for. Please pay attention that a new file means a new application fee to be paid.

Example: If candidates want to apply for the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, they will pay the application fee which is 250 euro. If they want to apply for the Faculty of Engineering, a new file will be required and a new application fee as well.  

 After filling in the blanks, candidates will be asked to upload their documents on the platform, in a scanned copy/photography, format *.jpeg.

Note!

Non-EU candidates must have their diplomas (High School Diploma/Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree) authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and by the Embassy of Romania or they must have the Hague Apostille (where applicable). Should the documents lack the authentication, the file won’t be taken into consideration.

European Union candidates will have to upload the Certificate for the recognition of studies issued by the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas. Further information can be found at the following link: CNRED 

2. Letter of Acceptance

If a Non-EU candidate is admitted to one of the study programmes within “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galați, the next step will be obtaining the letter of acceptance. The files of the candidates will be sent to the Ministry of Education by the university, in order to issue the letter of acceptance. When received, the letters will be sent by email to the candidates.

3. Visa

The documents necessary

Non-EU candidates will have to apply for visa. In order to do that, the tuition fee must be paid. The bank account of the university can be found bellow. When paying, please specify the full name, the faculty and the study programme that you were admitted to.

• Note: When paying, please specify the full name, Passport number, type of fee (ex. admission fee) and the faculty.

4. Accommodation

“Dunărea de Jos” University of Galați provides accommodation within “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” Campus. Further information about dormitories can be found at the following link: http://campus.ugal.ro/en/ 

5. Enrolment

Candidates will be contacted by email and informed about the period when they should sign the study contract and provide the original documents.

6. Starting the courses

The new academic year starts on October 2^nd  2023.
